City of Melville's Midwinter is a free and family-friendly night of live and up-close arts performances, celebrating the winter solstice and the change of seasons. For the third iteration of this event, Icon AV was again approached by the city to provide production equipment and technicians for this event. The distributed site, terrain, and various needs of each of the performance stations made this a challenging yet rewarding event.
Icon AV deployed a fully in house range of equipment, including our range of QSC speakers, Yamaha mixers, Event Lighting and Chauvet lighting fixtures to each of the performance stations to help light performers and create a sense of atmosphere. We also used our brand new Beamz Pro Starcolour wash units to give beautiful controllable wash light into the trees of Dyoondalup.
For the mainstage, we deployed a GrandMA2 onPC lighting console, which was also responsible for the lighting on the performance stages, through W-DMX.
For audio on the mainstage, we set up our always fantastic KV2 ES audio system, which the band sounded phenomenal on!
Our technicians roaming during the event, providing technical assistance to the stations on the hill, let us know the fantastic things the attendees had to say about the look, feel and sound of the event.
