The Makuru Arts Festival is the City of Cockburn's free winter arts festival, which in 2026 presented 14 events between 5 and 27 June. We were contracted to provide full theatrical technical production for the theatre performances in the City's Memorial Hall, which has no working lighting or sound infrastructure.
We reviewed the technical specifications for each show, including ARCO and Improv RPG, and consulted on lighting and sound design. From this we designed a temporary installation that met the requirements of every production, covering lighting positions and fixtures, the sound system, the control position, power distribution and cabling. We installed it ahead of the season and provided technicians on site for every performance.
Starting from a bare venue meant every element had to be planned, supplied and installed by us. Detailed pre-production against each show's specifications meant the hall was performance-ready for each production, and the season was delivered as planned before the installation was removed.
